Atamo Awarded Government Grant

We are pleased to announce that Atamo has been successful in being awarded a significant grant under the National Innovation and Science Agenda (NISA).

The Business Research and Innovation Initiative is a program under NISA aimed at small and medium enterprises.  The program invited Commonwealth Government Agencies to propose challenges to industry.

Atamo was initially selected as one of a number of companies to undertake a feasibility study for "On the spot technology for measuring pyrethroid surface residue".  The feasibility study was successfully completed in June this year and was judged eligible to apply for a grant to complete a proof of concept of the proposed technology.

We have now been awarded a grant to undertake a proof of concept development.

The announcement by Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos, Minster for Industry, Innovation and Science can be found here.

Details of the award can be found here

Our collaborator in the feasibility study was Dr Peter Forster of Chemsearch Consulting and we are supported by Professor Allan McKinley of the University of Western Australia.

Atamo Awarded Grant under National Science and Innovation Agenda

Atamo is pleased to announce that is has been awarded a grant under the Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII).  The grant is to undertake a feasibility study for the development of On-the-spot technology for measuring pyrethroid surface residue.

The Australian Government invited Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to respond to a number of challenges under the BRII program.  Atamo proposed collaboration with Chemsearch Consulting Pty Ltd and The University of Western Australia to address the problem of measuring insecticides on aircraft surfaces.  The requirements of the challenge are summarised in a YouTube video here.

The feasibility study will run from March to June 2017.  Successful completion of the feasibility study will provide an opportunity to apply for follow on funding to develop a proof of concept device.

Atamo and Thinxtra at Everything IoT Hacklab

We’re taking our modular hardware platform, duinoPRO, to the Everything IoT Hacklab in Sydney next week with our new Sigfox module, supporting partners Thinxtra.
Thinxtra is rolling out the first IoT network in Australia and New Zealand, based on SIGFOX LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) technology.  SIGFOX is particularly well suited for IoT applications by providing an ultra low cost and low power, ubiquitous and simple connectivity to enable mass deployment of IoT.
Thinxtra is supporting the IoT Hacklab event by providing unlimited access to the live SIGFOX network to teams who choose SIGFOX for their project. In addition, our technical team will be available at the event to support the teams and offer best practices for design.
Atamo will be joining them!  See you all there!
